Damian is Enrique Olvera's first Los Angeles restaurant, and Olvera is the Mexican chef behind Pujol in Mexico City and Cosme in New York. It opened in October 2020 in a converted warehouse on a dead-end street in the Arts District.
Chuy Cervantes has run the kitchen since.
Taller ADG, the Mexico City practice led by Alonso de Garay, designed the interior with Micaela de Bernardi of MDB, and they chose to preserve the building's original configuration. The original brick and exposed concrete, iron, and wood carry the project, in a palette of dark green and gray.
Damian is listed in the Michelin Guide.

Pujol is Enrique Olvera's flagship in Mexico City and has been named the best restaurant in North America by the World's 50 Best. After nearly twenty years on Calle Francisco Petrarca, Olvera moved it in 2017 into a house built in the 1950s on Tennyson, a few streets away in the same neighborhood.
Javier Sánchez and his practice JSa, and Micaela de Bernardi of MDB handled the interior and the furniture. Gardens, courtyards, and decks organize the plan the way they would in a Polanco house of the period. Olvera's brief was to move away from white tablecloths and find a room domestic in scale.
Pujol has earned two Michelin stars for 2026.
